Terms of Service

The rules covering this website and any work you ask us to do. Effective September 6, 2026.

The short version: Prices shown on this site are estimates, not quotes — the quote is the number you are given for your job, and nothing is done that you have not agreed to. Bookings are made by phone or email. Cleaning removes soil; it does not reverse wear, dye loss or pile reversal, and those get pointed out rather than charged for. If something goes wrong, tell us promptly and let us look at it. South Carolina law applies.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms govern your use of AikenCarpetCleaning.com and any request you make through it for carpet, rug, upholstery or tile cleaning in Aiken, South Carolina. Using the site means you accept them.

If you do not accept them, do not use the site. Nothing here removes rights you have under South Carolina or federal consumer law — where those conflict with anything below, the law wins.

What this website is

An information site with a phone number on it. There is no account to create, nothing to buy online, no booking calendar and no payment processing. Everything from the first question to the finished job happens by phone or email.

Because of that, browsing this site creates no obligation on either side. You have not booked anything by reading a page, and nothing here is an offer capable of being accepted by clicking.

Prices on this site are estimates

The ranges published on the pricing page and elsewhere are typical starting ranges to help you judge whether to call. They are not quotes, not offers and not binding.

A quote is the figure given to you directly for your specific job, based on what you describe. It is given in good faith on the information you provide. If the room turns out to be substantially different from the description — three times the size, damage that was not mentioned, a fiber that changes the method — the quote may need to be revised, and you will be told before any work starts rather than after it finishes.

A quote reflects the job as it was described at the time it was given. If a long period passes before you book, or the condition of the carpet changes in the meantime, it may need revisiting. Nothing gets done that you have not agreed to.

Booking, changes and cancellations

A booking is confirmed when a time is agreed by phone or email. If you need to change or cancel, call as early as you reasonably can — the earlier the notice, the easier the slot is to fill.

Appointments run to a time window rather than an exact minute, because the job before yours can run long. If we are going to be late you will be called.

If nobody can get access to the property at the agreed time, the visit cannot go ahead and will need rescheduling. Any specific terms about deposits, late cancellations or missed appointments are confirmed when the job is booked, not imposed afterwards from a web page you did not read.

Giving us your phone number means we may call or text you about that job — confirming a time, asking a question, letting you know we are running late. It is not consent to marketing, as set out in the Privacy Policy.

Who performs the work

Where cleaning is carried out by an independent provider rather than directly, that provider is responsible for the work they perform and for their own insurance, licensing and conduct. The details needed to complete your job are passed to them and used only for that job, as set out in the Privacy Policy.

Whoever attends, the standards described on this site — a price before the visit, fiber checked before anything is sprayed, full extraction, drying accounted for — are what the job is meant to meet. If it does not, say so.

Access, conditions and safety on site

For the work to go ahead, a few practical things need to be true.

Access. Someone aged 18 or over should be present at the start for the walkthrough and at the end to see the result, unless a different arrangement has been agreed in advance for a vacant property. There needs to be somewhere to park reasonably close to a door, because hoses run from the truck to the room.

Tell us about hazards. Before the appointment, mention anything that affects safety or method — aggressive or anxious pets, sewage or biohazard contamination, known mold, recent pest treatment, structural problems, loose flooring, or anything the previous owner did to the carpet that you know about. Undisclosed hazards are the main reason a job has to stop partway.

Pets and children. Please keep pets secured elsewhere during the visit. Equipment is loud, doors are propped open and hoses run through the house. Children should stay off the working area until the walkthrough at the end.

Utilities. Access to a standard power outlet and, occasionally, a water supply may be needed depending on the equipment the job calls for.

Stopping work. Work may be declined or stopped where conditions are unsafe, where the property is materially different from what was described, or where continuing would risk damage that cannot be undone. If that happens you will be told why, and you will not be charged for work that was not carried out.

Your property, and what cleaning cannot undo

Carpet cleaning acts on soil. It does not reverse wear, and it is important to be clear about the difference before work starts.

Pre-existing conditions. Pile reversal, worn or delaminating backing, permanent dye loss, bleach marks, burns, moth damage, seam separation and fiber that has already been abraded through are not caused by cleaning and are not corrected by it. Where these are visible they will be pointed out beforehand. Where they only become apparent once soil is removed, they were already there.

Older and delicate items. Antique rugs, silk blends, hand-woven pieces and carpet of unknown construction carry more risk than modern synthetic broadloom, and that risk is discussed with you before anything is applied.

Before we arrive. Please move or point out anything fragile, valuable or sentimental, and tell us about prior treatments, existing damage, or repairs under the carpet. Undisclosed conditions are the most common cause of a result nobody wanted.

Payment

Payment terms — what is due, when, and by what method — are confirmed at the time of booking and apply to that job. There is no payment taken through this website, and you will never be asked for card or bank details by email.

If anything arrives claiming to be an invoice from us and asking you to pay by an unusual method, do not act on it. Call the number on this site and check.

If something goes wrong

Tell us, promptly, and give us the chance to look at it. Most complaints about carpet cleaning are about a spot that reappeared or an area that was missed, and most are straightforward to address if raised while the situation is fresh.

Contact us as soon as you notice the problem, describe what you are seeing, and allow reasonable access to inspect it. Waiting months, cleaning over it yourself, or having another company treat the same area first makes it considerably harder to establish what happened and to put it right.

Photographs of the work

Photographs are sometimes taken before and after a job. They serve two purposes: an internal record of the condition the carpet was in when work started, which protects both sides if a question comes up later, and occasionally a before-and-after example.

Nothing that identifies you or your home — an address, a house exterior, people, personal possessions in shot — is published anywhere without your permission first. A close-up of carpet is not identifying; a photograph of your living room might be, and it will not be used publicly unless you say yes.

If you would rather no photographs were taken at all, say so at the start of the appointment. That is fine and it changes nothing about the work.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South Carolina law, liability arising out of the website or the services is limited to the amount paid for the job in question.

Neither we nor any provider is liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost income, lost time, missed deadlines, or damage to items that were not disclosed or not present in the working area. Nor for pre-existing conditions of the kind described above, or for damage arising from information you did not tell us.

Where loss or damage arises from a hazard or condition you knew about and did not disclose — contamination, structural damage, a prior treatment that changes how the carpet reacts — responsibility for that loss rests with you.

Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Things outside anyone's control

Severe weather, storm damage, flooding, road closures, power or water failure, vehicle breakdown, illness and similar events can make an appointment impossible to keep. Where that happens the visit is rescheduled at the earliest workable time and neither side is liable to the other for the delay.

South Carolina summers produce this more often than anyone would like. You will be called as early as we know.

Using the website itself

You may read these pages, print them and share links to them. You may not scrape the site at scale, republish its content as your own, use it to build a competing directory, attempt to interfere with how it runs, or use it for anything unlawful.

The text, layout, photographs and logo on this site belong to Aiken Carpet Cleaning unless credited otherwise, and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Copying a page of guidance onto another cleaning company's website is not permission-free because it appeared publicly here.

Accuracy of what is published

The guidance on this site — fiber behavior, dry times, seasonal advice, what does and does not respond to cleaning — is written carefully and reflects standard practice. It is general information about carpet, not a professional assessment of your carpet, and it is offered without warranty.

Conditions vary. What is true of most nylon broadloom may not be true of the piece in your hallway. Where a decision matters, describe the situation and get an answer for your specific case rather than acting on a general page. The Disclaimer covers this in more detail.

Where this site links out, those destinations are not under our control and these terms do not apply once you leave. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or how they treat your information.

Governing law and general terms

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us belongs in the state or federal courts serving Aiken County, South Carolina, and both sides submit to that jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with what was agreed for your specific job, are the whole agreement between us and replace anything discussed beforehand.

No waiver. Not enforcing a term on one occasion does not give up the right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to someone else without agreement. We may assign them to a successor business, and your rights are unaffected if that happens.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one on this page, with the effective date shown at the top. Changes apply to use of the site and to jobs booked after the date they are posted — they do not retroactively alter what was agreed for a job already booked.
